I quit my job. Usually I would advise against this, but I have to argue this was probably the best choice I could make at this point in my life. Luckily I have a darling husband who has "skills to pay the bills", which will allow me the time to work on improving my health...my life...all for a brighter future, full of memories (and hopefully)... babies.
Today is August 1st.
Whitney and Taylour decided a nice "little" hike would be a good initiation to my healthier life. We went up Ferguson Canyon around 8:00 this morning. It was fairly overcast, but the sights were beautiful. As we started our hike, we looked westward and saw a rainbow through the little pocket of sunshine. I'd like to think it was a sign...
(Have I ever told you how wonderful sisters are? Well, they are.)
(Not fair. Why am I the white, blotchy one?)
We came back to the house and my sisters continued to teach me their "abs and arms" routine. I did 20 sit ups, 9 "girl" push-ups, and could only hold my "spiderman" pose for 30 seconds. Lame.
For dinner, we had delicious Greek pitas. I found the recipe HERE.
The evening found us in the backyard with 2 lovely ladies:
In other news: It has been almost 7 months since our wedding and 0 thank you cards have gone out. Yes, I know this makes me the WORST bride EVER, but I promise they are at the top of my "to do" list. I PROMISE.
Quote for the day:
"I'm not going to miss out on something great,
just because it might be hard."
